Replace the Metered Toner Cartridge
The specified metered toner cartridge (cyan, magenta, yellow, or black) is installed but the printer does not have metered toner enabled. Replace the metered toner cartridge with a non-metered toner cartridge for that color. To install a toner cartridge, see the installation instructions on the box of the new toner cartridge.

Metered cartridges only need be enabled if you are on a pay-for-click program. The individual program will give you the passcode to enable the metered cartridges. If you are just trying to use toner purchased on the internet, from a reseller, etc, there is nothing you need to do.
